Subject description: Looking for a private Latin dance instructor in Stockholm
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

I am looking for some intensive Latin dance lessons over the next couple months. I have never taken dance lessons before, but I can play Latin music and I have rhythm. Wink

If you are an instructor and would be willing to talk to me about private lessons, please send me an email. You must be in Stockholm.

Thanks.

Glad to be of help! Very Happy

I checked the homepage for the Swedish Dancesport Federation and found some more sites. Razz They are listed on this page Arrow http://www.danssport.org/web/index.asp?page=75 under "Stockholm". Smile I don't live in Stockholm so I don't know which schools are the best Sad, but I think Quick and Quick (quick_danceclubAThotmail.com) is a very good school that I forgot to mention above... Embarassed Probably the other schools in the list are good too, because they are all members of the Swedish Dancesport Federation. Some of them don't teach ballroom though...

Good luck!!! Very Happy

Thanks again. I'm not really that interested in ballroom anyway, so there's no problem there. Smile I want something I can use when I go to Brazil...know what I'm sayin'?

Brazil! Shocked That changes things because they have their own popular dances that you will most likely not learn at schools teaching ballroom or at other school either, unless they focus on Brazilian dances... Cool Samba is very popular in Brazil, but the dance called samba in ballroom is not the way they dance it in Brazil. My suggestion is to find a dance group that dances Brazilian carneval samba and learn from them. Hopefully they will also know some other traditional Brazilian dances too... Razz

One of my salsa teachers here in Gothenburg called Adriana Mendes comes from Brazil and she has a dance group for traditional Brazilian dances Arrow http://www.brasilidademendes.com. Some common Brazilian dances are listed on her home page. Smile

Have a nice weekend! Very Happy
